Week over...

Well, so the first week back is over. It has not been so much to do, really. Today we did not start till 2pm. Had modern for an hour and then jazz for an hour and then we went home... But luckily we start again properly next week. I am going to a drop in ballet class at school tomorrow. It is with a man called Pierce Beaumaunt (or something). But we all call him Oscar (dont really know why). He used to dance with the english national ballet, I think. I have not been to his classes before (we dont have him on our timetable) but I am going tomorrow because we only had two ballet classes this week, and that is just not enough! I am really excited about it. Then tomorrow afternoon my one of my classmates are coming over. We are going to work on a couple of school projects. We have a big anatomy assignment and a dance history one. We are going to write about the ballet "Napoli". I have wanted to see that for a long time, so it should be interesting. Our theacher said that she could lend it to us...
But anyway, friday night now. I think I will go eat some chocolate...

Back to everyday life...

So, I am back at university. It is a quite relaxed week this week, because some teachers are absent because of travel and stuff. So today we did not start untill 10.45. We had ballet then till 11.15 and then we had dansedidaktikk (how to teach dance) from 12.30-2.30... So not a very stressfull day. Though I did get up at 6 to study the latin names of the muscles for anatomy (I concentrate best in the morning) and I arrived at school at around 9 to rehearse for the Nutcracker by myself. You see, my old dance school back home is putting on the nutcracker for the first time, and I have been asked to dance the part of the sugarplum fairy!! I am so excited about it and I try to reherse as much as possible because I want to do it well, and the choreography is also quite difficult and requires a lot of strength (difficult pointe work) and stamina. I sooo ned to go running...

New, improved blogg!

So here is my first post on my new blogg. I have had some trouble with my old one, so I figured it was time to let that one go... I will keep this one updated so that you will se what I am up to.

So that is my week. Our training is really good and everyone gets a lot of corrections and stuff. I feel like I have gotten a lot stronger. When we have dance in the morning, we have been told to be at school by at least 8am to warm up and stuff. I am usually there between 7.45 and 8. Depends on how tired I am... But I always make sure to have a good warm up before we start. It makes such a big difference! It is not like they check if we are there early or not, but they do expect us to be there and take responsibility for our own bodies.

We had a half term holliday last week. I was supposed to fly back yesterday, but my flight was canceled so I had to be booked on one today instead. So I missed one day of school. I hate that. Oh, well. My attendance is very good this far, and it is not like it is my fault... Cant wait to start again tomorrow, though! I love ballet on mondays and tuesdays because some of us are allowed to wear pointe shoes for the entire class. It is so extremely strengthening!! Cant wait!!!
