Well, well. Home this weekend teaching. It was so much fun yesterday! I made a dance to the song "They live in you" from the musical Lion King and they seemed to really like it. Everyone in those classes (RAD grade 3, 4 and 5 and a pointe class) are really eager to learn and stuff. So it is so much fun to teach them! It was really worth the 8 hours on the train from Stavanger with a screaming baby in the seat in front of me the whole way! Not joking (even though it was extremely annoying!). Got a lot done, though. Did my book review on George Balanchine, worked on my anatomy paper and started on knitting a new pair of socks. My train leaves today at 2.15pm and I will be in Stavanger by 11 this evening... Looooong journey... But I am going to start writing my paper on Prokofiev for my "Music for dancers" class and work more on my anatomy paper. So hopefully it wont be too boring..
Well, here are some pictures from our class trip to Voss last week:
Susanne and me between classes:
We learned how to kick a hat of a pole (part of a traditional folk dance called "Halling"):
We learned a trick where you start out like Axel here with your legs over the pole and holding onto your ears. And then you are going to try to stand up on your feet without letting go of the ears.. Tricky, I can tell you...
